Hi, I'm Megha! When I was 10, my favourite bakery misspelled my name on the birthday cake and so, I became Magha. Megha is a loving, informed and compassionate human with a gentle smile, but Magha! She's loud, irritating, very odd to new people with a weird and wild imagination and most importantly should patent the number of ways she can contort her face (ask anyone who knows her about her cat-face).
I am a vagabond in love with all my dogs, past and present, historical non-fiction books, dark roasted coffee, chilled beer and music from before my time.
I'm also a map lover, a news and politics enthusiast, a current affairs and history buff but mostly a terrible, terrible dancer, an only-one-terrible-needed-here wannabe guitarist and a pretty competitive board game player and an all-time joker and general lazy body.
I am a recent graduate of the London Film School, with an MA in Screenwriting. After years of work in India and a short stint in the US, I decided to make my way over to London where I have worked as various hands on film productions and crafted my voice as a writer.
As a screenwriter, producer and director, I am passionate about telling stories with intricate characters and deep human insight to portray life in it's rawest form.
In my 8 years of work experience, I have worked in both fiction and non-fiction and on a spectrum of genres from environmental documentaries to commercial ad-films in creative direction, non-fiction filmmaking, content
development, script acquisition and screenwriting.
My fiction and non-fiction practices most often cross paths, informing each other and helping me grow as a creator. As somebody who enjoys trying their hands at everything creative, I make a conscious effort to have all my little practices come together and do what I can to aid the best storytelling.
